Hyderabad Marches Ahead
Hyderabad defeated Andhra comprehensively by 6 wickets in the second game of the South Zone Vijay Hazare One day Trophy at Bangalore. Andhra who elected to bat first were blown away by Hyderabad’s splendid bowling attack for a low score of 107 in 26.3 overs.
Hyderabad bowler Pragyan Ojha took 5/19. He was well supported by his teammate and Deccan Charger rookie Ashish Reddy who claimed 2 wickets for 33 runs from his spell of 7overs. Kanesh Naidu was also among the pick of the bowlers picking up 2 wickets for 13 runs.
Chasing an easy target of 108 runs, Deccan Charger batsman Ravi Teja laid the foundation by top scoring 42 of 55 balls which included 7 boundaries. Akshath Reddy also contributed 20 of 29 deliveries hitting 3 boundaries. Hanuma Vihari was also among the runs scoring 24* of 21 balls and Ahmed Quadri 9* seeing the team through in 22.4 overs.
With IPL season just around the corner, Deccan Chargers Players have been showing Great Spirit by performing consistently well and will aim to target the big guns.
