As Captain of the Deccan Chargers, the new IPL Champions, can I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to all our loyal fans for their support.

This support, not just in this year’s successful tournament, but also in the tough 2008 series, is what makes playing in a team sport so satisfying. One of the first things I said to our team at the start of the IPL was, “ we are all in this together”. Our players, support staff , owners and everyone in the Franchise stayed true to that statement right the way through. So, my message to you, the fantastic fans is, thank you… you were all in this together with us!
