Adam Gilchrist led from the front to help the Deccan Chargers upstaged the fancied Chennai Super Kings but the humble Australian
said he was only carryiing forward the good work done by regular skipper VVS.Laxman.Leading the side in absence of the injures Laxman, Gilchrist did not put a foot wrong against the Dhoni-led side.
Gilchrist won the toss, marshalled his bowlers well to restrict the opponents to a modest total and then went on to top-score with the bat to guide the sideto its second victory.No wonder he walked away with the Man of the Match award.
In the post-match press conference , the Aussie , however humility personified and said he was enjoying playing under Laxman.
"He (Laxman) has put up a strong foundation and I am only carrying that good work." Gilchrist said.
