Hi i don't know if the DC team actually reads these comments, but as a just match viewer i would like to post my views on how dc lost the match with royals.

The key fact is that the runs got by royals on lemon cuts surprise fours are atleast 20 runs. surprisingly there was no third man for part of the match this is where they picked up runs in the middle of the match.

Also i see that gilchrist was not in his full energy.

Batting:

- The middle order of DC is in fact strong if not strongest. only they have to be given opportunities. bring in raviteja take out azar bilakhia. Now to make middle order strong raviteja should open with gilchrist and let gibbs come as one down.

The notion that if gilly and gibbs go hyderabad is gone is rediculous. it should properly place the lineup so that it feels sufficiently strong upto 7th down atleast.

- The way to play when wickets are lost is not to think i should stay or i should make good partnership. If you think there is no backup then you are lost that all! no one could save you. that why its important to strengthen the backup. This is done giving more time for all batsmen to play.

- One of the main reasons for why dc lost was that it failed to keep the score board ticking from 5 to 10 overs ( one should choose not to lift the ball in air but it does not mean i should be over protective). suman played beautifully, he was nicely playing his game not that i should stand here and make an impression. this is where azar bilakhia failed.

The rest is fine.

Bowling:

- to reserve shoiab for slag overs was a stupid decision.

- There were good no of runs that went of the keeper/thirdman. these should be strictly contained ( but i donot know of the possibility)

ofcouse the last over fielding.

some bowling changes were not impressive. ojha is a breaker. when opposition is finding runs difficult use up shoiab. we have used ojha at this stage. ojha in my opinion takes wickets better when players are trying to go fast at scoring. if ojha is used when things are tight for opposition then they will just take some nice dots or singles but not a wicket.

i guarantee that gilchrist was not in full energy.
