Support Team

A superbly talented player, the stockily-built Darren Lehmann is a free-scoring left-hand batsman, and an underestimated left-arm orthodox spin bowler. As an out-and-out strokeplayer, he treats spectators to an audacious mixture of swashbuckling aggression and deft finesse.

Fielding Coach

A Warwickshire stalwart for 17 years, Trevor Penney retired from first-class cricket at the end of the 2005 season to take up a post as Sri Lanka's assistant coach, where he teamed up with his former county team-mate, Tom Moody. Originally from Zimbabwe, Penney joined the county in 1988 whereupon he embarked on a four-year residential qualification.

Assistant Coach

The 52 year old Kanwaljit Singh is the only player to have played in more than 100 Ranji games for Hyderabad. This mighty sardar ,a genuine spinner of the ball was a delight to watch. He is an inspiring example for other cricketers for his formidable spirit and commitment to give 100 per cent every time he stepped on the cricket field, unmindful of the reward.


Sean originates from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. After running 2 large physiotherapy practices for 12 years, Sean decided to opt for a ‘tree change’ and has recently moved to Echuca, in Northern Victoria, from where he is operating his physiotherapy practice.

Team Doctor

Dr. Mohammed Zahoorul Hussain, M.B.B.S, D.CH is trained in Sports Medicine at NIS-Patiala. He was Medical consultant for the Asian games, New Delhi 1982 and World Badminton Championship, New Delhi 1984, Chief Medical Director and Principal HOD (Retd) of Medical Department of South Central Railways, East Coast Railways and Medical Director-ICF, Chennai.

Team Manager

Paul joined the Chargers as Team Manager in 2011, having worked on the previous editions of the IPL and Champions league as a venue manager for various venues across India.

From Barbados, he holds an MBA, and has headed the Commercial Department of the WICB, managing their commercial properties, sponsorship negotiations, and event management.


David has completed a bachelor of applied science and is currently completing his masters in strength and conditioning. He has been the strength and conditioning co-ordinator for the Victorian Bushrangers for the last six years. David is also the strength and conditioning coach for the Melbourne Renegades in the Australian BBL and has worked with the Australian A team in previous years.

Sports Massage Therapist

Tricia joins Deccan Chargers Support Force as Sports Massage Therapist for the IPL 2012 season.
She is a highly qualified Sports Massage Therapist who is the Remedial/Sports Massage Therapist for Swimming Team, Australia and travels with team on International Tours.

Video Analyst

B.M.Santosh, Analyst for Deccan Chargers is a qualified engineer from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka. He is also the performance analyst for Karnataka Ranji team ,Karnataka Cricket Academy ,Goa U-19 and SKG International School, Dubai.
